Waxwork Records is proud to present the Us Original Motion Picture Soundtrack featuring a score by composer Michael Abels. Us, released in March 2019, is an original nightmare written, directed and produced by Academy Award®-winning visionary Jordan Peele (Get Out). Set in present-day Santa Cruz on the iconic Northern California coastline, the film, starring Oscar® winner Lupita Nyong’o and Black Panther’s Winston Duke, pits an ordinary American family against a terrifying and uncanny opponent: doppelgängers of themselves.
Abels featured a 30 person choir, a third of them children, in the “Anthem,” and implemented Eastern European instruments, violins, percussion, and a virtual instrument called a Propanium drum. “It makes this trashy metal sound, but you can also play melodies on it,” Abels said. “The Propanium drum has a sound that’s both otherworldly but not electronic or like science fiction. It’s a sound you can’t quite put your finger on, which is why it works well in this film.”
Also included on the soundtrack is the 1995 hip-hop hit “I Got 5 On It” by Luniz and the stand-out track “I Like That” by Janelle Monáe. Abels also helped with a new arrangement of the Luniz hit, which is featured on the soundtrack as the ‘Tethered Mix from Us’.
Waxwork is thrilled to present the soundtrack and score as a deluxe double LP featuring 180-gram "Metallic Brass Scissors” colored vinyl for disc one, and “Tethered Red Jumpsuit” colored vinyl for disc two. The album artwork was created by illustrator Edward Kinsella. The interactive packaging includes die-cut inner gatefold jackets that require customers to use scissors to cut through family-member portraits to reveal their tethered doppelgängers lurking in the shadows on the printed inner sleeves housed within. More deluxe items include a die-cut mirror board back cover, a heavyweight 11”x11” art print, and an exclusive essay by UCLA Professor, scholar, and activist Shana L. Redmond Ph.D., author of Anthem: Social Movements and the Sound of Solidarity in the African Diaspora

Waxwork Records is thrilled to announce the release of CHILD’S PLAY Original 1988 Motion Picture Music by Joseph Renzetti! CHILD’S PLAY is a 1988 American horror film directed by Tom Holland and starring Brad Dourif and Catherine Hicks. The film is based on the story by Don Mancini of a widowed mother that gifts her son, Andy Barclay, with a popular “Good Guy” doll for his birthday, unaware that the doll is possessed by the soul of a serial killer named Charles Lee Ray. The film immediately gained a cult following, and its success spawned a multi-media franchise that includes a series of six sequels and a remake of the original movie. It remains one of the paramount and classic horror movies from the 1980’s. The Chucky character has earned his rightful place alongside other slashers and horror icons such as Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and Jason Voorhees.
CHILD PLAY’s electronic / orchestral hybrid film score by Joseph Renzetti is a fan favorite that was released on the vinyl format only once prior in 1989 after the theatrical release of the movie. Ominous synth drones, pulsing electronic percussion, and nightmarish de-tuned harpsichords round out the terrifying score. The music of CHILD’S PLAY moves from hellish soundscapes to driving, chase-like rhythms in violent fashion.
Waxwork worked to acquire the complete CHILD’S PLAY score from the original 1988 master tapes. The score has been re-mastered for vinyl and housed within deluxe packaging including 180 gram “Chucky” colored vinyl, new artwork by Phantom City Creative, and old style tip-on gatefold jackets with satin coating.

Waxwork Records is proud to present PET SEMATARY Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Christopher Young. Directed by Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch (Starry Eyes), Pet Sematary is a 2019 supernatural horror film adaptation of the popular 1983 novel of the same name by author Stephen King. The story follows a husband and wife that move with their young son and daughter to a new home in Maine. After the accidental death of their daughter soon after settling in, the grieving father exhumes her and buries her in a burial ground known to bring loved ones back from the dead. This act ultimately dooms the family. Ghosts, bringing the dead back to life through ancient ritual, and grief make this particular film adaptation of King’s written works the darkest to date.
Composed by Christopher Young (A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, Hellraiser, Drag Me To Hell), the music of Pet Sematary is dark, dissonant, and synth driven to create an atmosphere of dread and grief that spirals violently out of control. Young sonically captures the ominous supernatural element of the film and its story with his decades long experience of expertly scoring some of the most notable and beloved horror movies, ever.
Waxwork Records is thrilled to present the original soundtrack to Pet Sematary as a deluxe double LP featuring 180 Gram “Church” colored vinyl, new artwork by Christopher Shy, composer liner notes, old-style gatefold jackets, and printed inserts.
