Directed by the late cult horror icon Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator, Castle Freak) and starring Jeffrey Combs and scream queen Barbara Crampton, FROM BEYOND (1986) is a cult-classic science-fiction body-horror film that continues to captivate audiences nearly four decades after its release.

This special LP marks the first re-issue of Waxwork's complete release of composer Richard Band’s FROM BEYOND score on vinyl since it initially sold out in 2017. Fully re-mastered for analog warmth and dynamic range, the expanded edition preserves the award-winning compositions that earned Best Original Soundtrack at the Catalonian International Film Festival in Sitges, Spain.

This definitive edition pays tribute to one of horror’s most visionary soundtracks — a thrilling, atmospheric score that pulses with otherworldly energy and eerie orchestration!

About the Composer:

About the creator:

Eddie Alcazar is an American director, writer, producer and game developer. Unconfined by genre, his multi-technique approach to visual storytelling is an exploration of undiscovered cinematic territories. He coined the term "Meta-Scope" to describe a visionary technique that blends live action and stop-motion.

Alcazar was the winner and sole recipient of a worldwide art and design competition, receiving a scholarship to the Academy of Art University where he studied VFX and Animation Film Theory. He was named one of the 25 New Faces of Film by Filmmaker Magazine and one of the best new directors in America by Shoot Magazine.

About the composer:

Danny Elfman, film composer, classical composer, singer-songwriter, and recording artist, has garnered international recognition for composing over 100 feature film scores, as well as compositions for television, stage productions, and the concert hall. Elfman has been Tim Burton’s composer for more than 35 years, having scored 17 Burton films such as Batman, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Big Fish, Alice in Wonderland, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, as well as music, lyrics and songs for  The Nightmare Before Christmas for which he also sang the part of Jack Skellington. Elfman was also the lead singer and songwriter for the LA rock band Oingo Boingo for 17 years.

The murderous doll who captivated pop culture in 2023 is back. And this time she’s not alone. Two years after M3gan, a marvel of artificial intelligence, went rogue and embarked on a murderous (and impeccably choreographed) rampage and was subsequently destroyed, M3gan’s creator Gemma (Allison Williams) has become a high-profile author and advocate for government oversight of A.I. Meanwhile, Gemma’s niece Cady (Violet McGraw), now 14, has become a teenager, rebelling against Gemma’s overprotective rules.
 
Unbeknownst to them, the underlying tech for M3gan has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor to create a military-grade weapon known as Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno; Ahsoka, Pacific Rim: Uprising), the ultimate killer infiltration spy. But as Amelia’s self-awareness increases, she becomes decidedly less interested in taking orders from humans. Or in keeping them around.

Chris Bacon is a Grammy^® and four-time Emmy^® nominated composer who most recently composed the score for Blumhouse’s wild thriller M3GAN 2.0 and A24’s gripping horror/thriller Heretic starring Hugh Grant. Other recent projects of note include the uniquely macabre, Emmy-nominated score for the hit Netflix series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega, and the Sony Pictures sci-fi thriller 65 directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. Chris earned prior Emmy nominations for his scores for the hit NBC musical series Smash, the massively popular thriller series Bates Motel for Carlton Cuse, and his infectious Main Title for Amazon’s The Tick.

From Universal Pictures and Blumhouse, the record-breaking hit centers on M3GAN, a marvel of artificial intelligence: a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma (Get Out’s Allison Williams), M3GAN can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to. 

When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House), Gemma’s unsure and unprepared to be a parent. Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems—a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.

About the composer:

BAFTA-nominated composer Anthony Willis has taken a running leap into the Neverland of film scoring, quickly becoming one of the most highly sought after new voices in Hollywood. Anthony composed the score to Oscar-winning writer/director Emerald Fennell’s drama thriller Promising Young Woman starring Carey Mulligan, which was nominated for Best Picture and earned Anthony a BAFTA nomination for Best Original Score.

Willis grew up in London and began his musical training as a chorister of St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, England. He went on to study Composition at Marlborough College, Wilshire and the University of Bristol, before earning his graduate degree from the University of Southern California. He currently resides in Venice Beach.
