Waxwork Records is thrilled to present JACOB'S LADDER Original Motion Picture Score By Maurice Jarre. Jacob’s Ladder is a 1990 psychological horror movie starring Tim Robbins, Elizabeth Peña, and Danny Aiello. The film follows Jacob Singer, a Vietnam veteran, whose experiences before and during the war result in strange, fragmented visions and bizarre hallucinations that continue to haunt him. As his ordeal worsens, Jacob desperately attempts to figure out the truth. Though only moderately successful upon release, Jacob’s Ladder garnered a cult following. Its plot and special effects became a source of influence for various other works such as the horror video game Silent Hill and the TV series American Horror Story. Kim Manners prepared for directing TheX-Files episode “Grotesque” by listening to the score to Jacob’s Ladder.
The experimental score by late French composer Maurice Jarre is dynamic and haunting with use of piano, synth, orchestral cues, and droning electronic soundscapes that feature reverberating horns, chants, tribal woodwinds, and chasing percussion. The avant-garde score is atmospheric and melancholy without sacrificing melody. It features seamless transitions that reflect Jacob’s loneliness, grief, nightmares, and horrific hallucinations.
Waxwork Records is excited to present the complete score to JACOB’S LADDER as a deluxe vinyl release featuring high quality packaging, 180 gram “Subway Hallucination” metallic silver and metallic gold swirled vinyl, artwork by Jérémy Pailler, and audio re-mastered from the original master tapes.

In partnership with Milan Records, Waxwork Records is proud to announce the deluxe soundtrack vinyl release to COLOR OUT OF SPACE Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Grammy Award-winning saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, song writer and composer Colin Stetson!
Directed by Richard Stanley (Hardware, Dust Devil), Color Out of Space is based on the short story by H.P. Lovecraft. After a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farmstead, Nathan Gardner (Nicolas Cage) and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies, transforming their quiet rural life into a technicolor nightmare.
About Colin Stetson:
A highly-coveted collaborator to Bon Iver, Arcade Fire, Tom Waits, LCD Soundsystem, The National and more, Stetson brings with him an expansive body of work that includes both genre-defying, avant-jazz records as well as critically-acclaimed original scores for major film, television and game titles (Ari Aster’s Hereditary, Red Dead Redemption 2).Of the soundtrack, Stetson says:
"The question posed initially when conceiving of this score was what exactly is the sonic representation of a cosmic alien color that does not exist in this terrestrial reality? I began trying to answer that by layering the sounds of coral reefs, processing that cacophony and finding the order revealed through harmonic generation of these hyperdensities, and then continued to chase that same concept of 'transfiguring the natural' down every path and application I could see.Turns out it's somewhere between magenta and hot pink :)"
Waxwork Records is thrilled to present the complete soundtrack by Stetson pressed to 180 gram "Cosmic Magenta" swirled vinyl, housed within a heavyweight printed inner sleeve inserted into an old-style tip-on jacket with film laminate gloss coating, and new art by Matt Taylor.

Waxwork Records is proud to present PET SEMATARY Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Christopher Young. Directed by Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch (Starry Eyes), Pet Sematary is a 2019 supernatural horror film adaptation of the popular 1983 novel of the same name by author Stephen King. The story follows a husband and wife that move with their young son and daughter to a new home in Maine. After the accidental death of their daughter soon after settling in, the grieving father exhumes her and buries her in a burial ground known to bring loved ones back from the dead. This act ultimately dooms the family. Ghosts, bringing the dead back to life through ancient ritual, and grief make this particular film adaptation of King’s written works the darkest to date.
Composed by Christopher Young (A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, Hellraiser, Drag Me To Hell), the music of Pet Sematary is dark, dissonant, and synth driven to create an atmosphere of dread and grief that spirals violently out of control. Young sonically captures the ominous supernatural element of the film and its story with his decades long experience of expertly scoring some of the most notable and beloved horror movies, ever.

Waxwork Records is thrilled to kick off 2019 with the deluxe vinyl release of THE PROWLER Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Richard Einhorn. Released in 1981, THE PROWLER is one of the earliest films to become part of the American-Slasher genre. It also features special effects by Tom Savini (Friday the 13th, Creepshow, Day Of The Dead) and was directed by Joseph Zito (Friday The 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter). The film’s music by Richard Einhorn (Shock Waves, Don’t Go In The House) introduces the composer’s departure from the primitive, monophonic synth scoring of his earlier work, and implements a blend of orchestral cues and mature electronic soundscapes. Waxwork Records worked with the composer to research and locate the master tapes that were thought to have been destroyed for decades. The tapes were restored, transferred, and the music was mixed, constructed into a cohesive soundtrack listening experience, and mastered specifically for vinyl. This special release is a must for fans of the horror genre.
THE PROWLER was released just one year after the critical success of FRIDAY THE 13TH, and has become one of the classic, underrated American-Slasher horror gems. The film is downright scary and features some of the most shocking death scenes of the entire horror movie genre due in part to the expertise of special effects mastermind, Tom Savini. The story tells of a group of college students holding a graduation dance 35 years after a double homicide occurred in their small town. They are targeted by a masked assailant dressed in World War II G.I. fatigues who begins a murderous spree.
This new, definitive double LP film score release of THE PROWLER features all of the film’s music composed by Richard Einhorn pressed to 180 gram Army Green Swirl with Rose Petal Red Splatter, new artwork by Ghoulish Gary Pullin, exclusive liner notes by director Joseph Zito, and a printed insert featuring Rosemary’s break-up letter.

Waxwork Records is proud to present the Original Motion Picture Score to DRAG ME TO HELL. Directed by Sam Raimi (Evil Dead Trilogy, Darkman), DRAG ME TO HELL tells the story of a banker with a seemingly good life, a supportive boyfriend, and a bright future. She makes a sinful choice for her own betterment, and as a result, is cursed by a gypsy and haunted by an ancient demonic force that will stop at nothing to drag her to the depths of Hell. The film became a box office success and has amassed many accolades and awards due in part to it’s originality and fantastic screenplay by Sam and Ivan Raimi,
The film score was composed and conducted by famed composer Christopher Young (Hellraiser, A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge). It was Young’s aim to create a sonic landscape of a world that didn’t exist. A supernatural setting featuring overdubbed, layered violins to emulate an evil, devil-like force manipulating the instrument. Horns, organ, child-like ethereal voices, and vintage keyboards round out the score to create a dark and intense experience.
Waxwork Records worked in collaboration with Lakeshore Records on the DRAG ME TO HELL vinyl album. This special release marks the very first time that the film music has been pressed to vinyl. Waxwork Records is thrilled to present the expanded and completed release of INFERNO Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Written and directed by horror visionary Dario Argento and featuring a haunting soundtrack composed by the late Keith Emerson, INFERNO is a 1980 Italian supernatural horror film that serves as a thematic sequel to SUSPIRIA.
INFERNO serves as the second installment of Argento’s “The Three Mothers” trilogy, beginning with Suspiria and concluding with The Mother Of Tears, and tells the story of a poet living in New York City that discovers an ancient book. The book, written by an alchemist, tells of three sister witches that run the world with sorrow, tears, and darkness. Inferno focuses on Mater Tenebrarum, the Mother of Darkness, whom is the youngest and most cruel of the sisters, and lives in New York. The film is highly stylized with Argento’s signature use of extreme colors and lighting. Bright blues, magentas, pinks, and greens are used liberally throughout the movie.
The soundtrack by accomplished progressive rock and electronic musician Keith Emerson differs from the previous Argento films in that it did not feature the band GOBLIN. Emerson’s soundtrack to Inferno is a mix of both electronic work, orchestral compositions, percussion, piano, and a full choir by way of the Chorus of Rome. Waxwork’s newly mastered and expanded Inferno soundtrack marks the film music’s most comprehensive and definitive version ever available on vinyl featuring the complete 1980 soundtrack in addition to outtakes and alternate tracks.

Waxwork Records proudly presents the debut film score release of Queen Of Earth. Written and directed by Alex Ross Perry and starring Elisabeth Moss and Katherine Waterston, Queen Of Earth is a 2015 American psychological thriller that tells the story of two women who grew up together that spend a week at a lake house retreat, as they did the previous year. This time, however, one of the women’s mood, and possibly her sanity, has been affected by the recent death of her father and the ending of a relationship.
Scored by composer Keegan DeWitt, the beautiful-nightmarish music of Queen Of Earth captures an auditory mental breakdown. By dissonant usage of a 1928 Steinway piano, French horns, echoing clarinets, and a Wrenchenspiel (an instrument made of tuned metal wrenches that are hit with mallets to produce a destabilized xylophone effect), DeWitt successfully creates a terrifying, slowly unraveling score that sonically seizes the descent into madness.
The deluxe film score release features the complete Queen Of Earth score mastered for vinyl, 180 gram colored vinyl, exclusive liner notes by Alex Ross Perry, Elisabeth Moss, and Keegan Dewitt, artwork by Anna Bak-Kvapil, a booklet, and heavyweight packaging including an old-style gatefold jacket.

Waxwork Records is proud to present the deluxe vinyl re-issue of DARKMAN Original Motion Picture Score. Directed by Sam Raimi (Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army Of Darkness) and starring Liam Neeson, DARKMAN is a 1990 dark superhero film that pays homage to classic Universal horror films from the 1930’s and 40’s. The film follows a scientist that is attacked, burned alive, and left for dead by ruthless mobsters, who then returns to seek revenge on the men that made him what he is.
Unable to acquire the rights to Batman or The Shadow, Director Sam Raimi decided to create his own, original character, drawing inspiration from The Phantom Of The Opera and other classic horror monsters. A hideous and disfigured non-superpowered man that fights crime, but he is also an unfortunate victim to a tragic love story as a creature that desires, but ultimately cannot have his love interest.
The score by composer Danny Elfman mixes classic orchestral compositions and unsettling carnival music.
