Rob Zombie Presents

After the successful release of nearly all of Rob Zombie's movie soundtracks on deluxe vinyl loaded with features like liner notes, and never before released photography, Waxwork partnered with Zombie to release a series of specially selected film scores and soundtracks, primarily titles that Rob Zombie found underappreciated. The idea was to find ways to collaborate with Rob Zombie after a slew of successful and fun releases with him. Zombie curated and suggested a handful of titles which are now in the process of being unearthed for everyone to enjoy! Some of these titles include The Last Man On Earth, The House On The Haunted Hill, and many selections from the Hammer series.

Each of these titles are being released on vinyl for the very first time. Some of which have been meticulously re-stored and re-crafted from the original source material by experts from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and have gotten the blessing from rights holders and the cast and crew of the films, including the estates of Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney, Jr., and Spider Baby actress Beverly Washburn and director Jack Hill!

Waxwork has a long history of working with Rob Zombie. His partnership has meant a lot to us here at the label, releasing some gem titles such as House of 1000 Corpses, The Devils Rejects, 3 From Hell, The Munsters, The Lords of Salem, Halloween, and Halloween II. We love these releases so much we even included some of them in a box set! These beloved releases have been so much fun to work on, as Rob Zombie has inspired us all at Waxwork. White Zombie, the first and original zombie movie, is so cherished by Rob Zombie that he even named his first band after the movie.

Carnival of Souls is sourced from the original film negative, a huge accomplishment considering there have only been bootlegs released of this film soundtrack in years past! Waxwork collaborated closely with the owners and rights holders of the original Carnival of Souls film elements which have been restored by and archived in the vaults of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. AMPAS restored the soundtrack from the film's original soundtrack negative, allowing the holders of this historical film to provide Waxwork with the best possible source material. This special release marks the first official Carnival of Souls soundtrack album.

We have released White Zombie, Spider Baby, and Carnival of Souls from Rob Zombie's selections, but there are many more to come, so stay tuned! All of the artwork has been created by world renowned horror artist, Graham Humphreys! More of his artwork can be found on our release of The Munsters!
