Your Package's Journey at Waxwork Records

Have you ever wondered what it was like living a day in the life of a Waxwork package? There are many steps an order endures before it is sent out the door and is on its way to you!

1. The Record Press

This is where all the records get pressed. This department also inspects each record to make sure that they are of the highest standard. If the record passes the inspection, it heads over to the assembly team in the warehouse.

2. Assembly

Our assembly team handles the entire process of assembling each vinyl record package. Depending on the release, each album typically contains a gatefold jacket, sleeved vinyl, inserts, and other goodies. Each release is special, indicative to the title. Vice Principals, for example, comes with a themed insert and even a temporary tattoo, while The Munsters comes with a 24-page booklet with behind the scenes photos!

Once the records are assembled, they make their way over to the shrink wrap machine where they are wrapped and adorned with a hype sticker.

3. Customer Support

Customer support is a vital part of Waxwork’s flow and is the first step in the fulfillment process. Not only does customer support handle all ticket inquiries, they’re also responsible for dispatching orders. They check to make sure there are no special requests for an order before their tickets are printed. Once orders are approved by customer support, they're dispatched and then they go to the warehouse to be packed up.

(If you have a question please reach out to info@waxworkrecords.com. You can also check the FAQ here!)

4. The Warehouse

Here is where the second step in the fulfillment process begins. Once your order reaches the warehouse, it is carefully picked, checked and packed by the warehouse team. They ensure that there are no dings on your jackets and that everything looks good. After they pack your order up, it goes into a mail bin where it is whisked away by a mail carrier of your choosing! The order is then on its way to you!

    I just read this in Your Package’s Journey at Waxwork Records;

    Once the records are assembled, they make their way over to the shrink wrap machine where they are wrapped and adorned with a hype sticker.

    So are ALL vinyl record albums still-sealed in shrink-wrap with hype sticker details?

    That is what I collect. But sometimes I get a poly-type cover with a flip over sticky-top where you can access the product inside. I suppose they do that for a few different reasons but I don’t collect those. I collect “completely sealed in shrink-wrap with hype sticker details” for my collection only.

    Sincerely,

    Kent

    I knew there were a lot of steps, but I didn’t know there were this many…this is fascinating!
