Waxwork Records is beyond thrilled to announce the highly anticipated deluxe soundtrack release of George A. Romero’s Dawn Of The Dead. Scored by Italian progressive rock group GOBLIN, and available for the very first time on vinyl in it’s entirety, George A. Romero’s Dawn Of The Dead marks the latest installment in Waxwork’s “Living Dead” soundtrack trilogy.
Dawn Of The Dead (also known as internationally as Zombi) is a 1978 independent zombie horror film directed by George A. Romero. It was written by Romero in collaboration with Italian filmmaker, Dario Argento. It is the second film of Romero’s Living Dead Trilogy, and shows in a larger scale the apocalyptic effects of the dead returning to life, and seeking human victims.
The original soundtrack for the film was composed and performed by long-time Dario Argento musical collaborators, GOBLIN. For Argento’s international cut of the film, the Italian director used the band extensively. Waxwork Records is excited to finally bring the complete 1978 GOBLIN soundtrack to vinyl for the very first time spanning two 180 gram vinyl records.
George A. Romero’s Dawn Of The Dead is considered to be one of the greatest and most compelling zombie films ever made by blending horror, gore, and social commentary on material society. Roger Ebert gave the film four out of four stars and called it “one of the best horror films ever made.” The film was selected as one of The 500 Greatest Movies of All Time by Empire Magazine in 2008. It was also named as one of The Best 1000 Movies Ever Made, a list published by The New York Times.

Waxwork Records is proud to present BlacKkKlansman (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) with score by Academy Award® nominated composer Terence Blanchard. From visionary filmmaker Spike Lee comes the incredible true story of an American hero. It’s the early 1970s, and Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) is the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a name for himself, Stallworth bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. The young detective soon recruits a more seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation of a lifetime. Together, they team up to take down the extremist hate group as the organization aims to sanitize its violent rhetoric to appeal to the mainstream. Produced by the team behind the Academy-Award® winning Get Out, the film has received praise and accolades from critics and fans and is nominated for six Academy Awards including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Original Score. Blanchard also recently won his sixth GRAMMY® for Best Instrumental Composition for the track “Blut Und Boden (Blood and Soil)” from the album.
With Blanchard’s current band, the E-Collective, featured on the score to BlacKkKlansman as well as a 96-piece orchestra, the composer delivers “a soaring, seething, luxuriant score,” comments the New York Times. In Vice Magazine, Blanchard elaborates, “In BlacKkKlansman it all became real to me. You feel the level of intolerance that exists for people who ignore other people’s pain. Musically, I can’t ignore that. I can’t add to that intolerance. Instead I have to help people heal from it."
Waxwork Records is thrilled to present the score as a deluxe vinyl release featuring the complete film music by Blanchard pressed to 180-gram vinyl. The deluxe packaging details include 1970’s inspired design work by Aesthetic Apparatus, a heavyweight printed insert, old style tip-on gatefold jackets and "Blood & Soil" colored vinyl.

Waxwork Records is thrilled to announce their partnership with Orion Pictures with the release of THE PRODIGY Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Music By Joseph Bishara. Directed by Nicholas McCarthy and starring Taylor Shilling (Orange Is The New Black) and Jackson Robert Scott (2017’s IT: The First Chapter), THE PRODIGY is a 2019 American horror-thriller film centered around a child whose disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has possessed him.
The haunting soundtrack by Joseph Bishara (Insidious, The Conjuring) is an expert composition of dark orchestral scoring focusing on heavy string arrangements, clarinet, and horns reminiscent of classic 1970’s horror soundtracks. The orchestration is blended with emotive electronic soundscapes. Bishara’s tense strings, coupled with droning electronic rhythms and piano, sets the dark tone and effectively captures impending doom and tragedy.
Waxwork Records worked directly with Orion Pictures and Bishara to create a deluxe vinyl release of the soundtrack featuring UV reactive 180 gram “Blue Iris” colored vinyl, new art by Adam Rabalais, a printed insert, old style tip-on gatefold jackets and high quality LP packaging.
It was Waxwork’s aim to create a vinyl record that could appear “possessed”, and by using UV reactive compounds, the record emits an eerie, glowing splatter effect when exposed to a black light. The unique result is a stunning vinyl record, both sonically and visually. Much like the character Miles in THE PRODIGY, the vinyl soundtrack itself is hiding something sinister in plain sight!

Waxwork Records is thrilled to kick off 2019 with the deluxe vinyl release of THE PROWLER Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Richard Einhorn. Released in 1981, THE PROWLER is one of the earliest films to become part of the American-Slasher genre. It also features special effects by Tom Savini (Friday the 13th, Creepshow, Day Of The Dead) and was directed by Joseph Zito (Friday The 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter). The film’s music by Richard Einhorn (Shock Waves, Don’t Go In The House) introduces the composer’s departure from the primitive, monophonic synth scoring of his earlier work, and implements a blend of orchestral cues and mature electronic soundscapes. Waxwork Records worked with the composer to research and locate the master tapes that were thought to have been destroyed for decades. The tapes were restored, transferred, and the music was mixed, constructed into a cohesive soundtrack listening experience, and mastered specifically for vinyl. This special release is a must for fans of the horror genre.
THE PROWLER was released just one year after the critical success of FRIDAY THE 13TH, and has become one of the classic, underrated American-Slasher horror gems. The film is downright scary and features some of the most shocking death scenes of the entire horror movie genre due in part to the expertise of special effects mastermind, Tom Savini. The story tells of a group of college students holding a graduation dance 35 years after a double homicide occurred in their small town. They are targeted by a masked assailant dressed in World War II G.I. fatigues who begins a murderous spree.
This new, definitive double LP film score release of THE PROWLER features all of the film’s music composed by Richard Einhorn pressed to 180 gram Army Green Swirl with Rose Petal Red Splatter, new artwork by Ghoulish Gary Pullin, exclusive liner notes by director Joseph Zito, and a printed insert featuring Rosemary’s break-up letter.
